Character
Medusa is a strict, powerful businesswoman and former Monster High student who broke barriers for gorgons.
She is a strict, powerful, strong-minded person. When she attended Monster High herself as a teenager, she single-handedly broke the "stone ceiling" and paved the way for gorgons to be allowed to play casketball by showing they could do so without using their petrifying gaze.
As an adult, she is a successful businesswoman who insists on upholding the ideology that "gorgons always win". She demands that Deuce's snakes carry out her orders to influence Deuce so as to make sure he always succeeds, and prefers not to give such harsh commands to Deuce herself nor let him hear what she tells his snakes.
She believes that gorgons are and should be "never nice". But she still shows traits of a nice person, mostly around her son.
Medusa is a tall, slender, pale blue-skinned Gorgons woman who, befitting to her type of monster, sport dusty-blue snakes for her hair which are kept in a long, slicked-back hairstyle.
Her eyebrows are colored in somewhat a duller shade than her snakes, and her amber eyes have dull-yellow sclera, slit pupils and thick eyelashes protruding from them. She also possesses a small beauty mark under her left eye and sharp fangs inside of her mouth, and her makeup consists of dark pink lipstick and black nail polish on her finger nails.
For attire, Medusa wore clothing that leans to casual business attire; she wears a scale-printed dark grayish-green waistcoat with two golden buttons, worn over a white long-sleeved blouse with frilled ends, bell-bottom dress pants that sported a similar design to her waistcoat (only it is colored in lighter shade), and deep-purple high-heels. Her accessories includes a golden wedding ring around the finger of her left hand and, to avoid turning others into stone, she wears a set of snake-framed dull-green glasses, though the lenses allow her eyes to be shown.

Medusa is married to Lyra Gorgon and is the mother of Deuce Gorgon and his sisters.
When they were teenagers, Medusa attended Monster High with Lyra, where the two fell in love. Sometime after graduation, they married and had 7 children.
Deuce is Medusa's son and youngest child. Although she loves him, she can be overbearing with her insistence that he win at everything he does, and harshly orders his snakes to influence him on her behalf.
In “Vamps Just Wanna Have Fun”, it’s revealed that she and Draculaura’s mother, Wei Fang, often compete with one another.

Medusa was the first gorgon at Monster High and faced bullying, which may explain her drive to win.
In "Spell the Beans", it's revealed that Medusa was the first gorgon to go to Monster High, and gorgons had a bad reputation at the time. It's revealed in the episode that Medusa was bullied by her classmates, who often put their feet in her way to make her fall.
This suggests Medusa might be obsessed with winning because she believes winning is the only thing that will make gorgons be accepted in monster society.
